Course selection: Good Hope Studies Cape Town provides English language programmes for students of all levels all year round. In addition to General English taught over various schedules and intensities, the school also provides Exam Preparation (TOEFL, FCE, CAE, CPE, CELTA, IELTS), several English & Volunteering programmes, Senior 50+ programmes, and courses of private tuition. Private tuition can be taken in conjunction or independently from any other programme.

Although a lot of importance is given to communication skills, participants can still expect to cover the fundamental language skills of: speaking, listening, reading and writing. You will progress rapidly on a schedule of 20 classes per week - not to mention regular homework that your professional teachers will issue you 3 to 4 times every week.

Lessons take place during morning hours so the afternoons are free to explore Cape Town and its surroundings, take part in our popular activities programme, or relax and hang out with friends. Homework is given 3 - 4 times per week.

Our General English course with 16 hours per week is our shortest course and is offered at 7 different levels. It's perfect for those who have no or little knowledge of the English language as well as for anyone who aims to combine studying with exploring a new destination. Small classes and well-trained teachers guarantee fast progress. The course content includes grammar, lexis and all four skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing.
Lessons take place in the morning, leaving enough time to explore the treasures of Cape Town in the afternoon. With no class on Friday, long weekend excursions are a must-do. Homework is given 3 - 4 times per week.

Our online virtual classroom on Zoom allows participants audio, video, text chat and screen sharing (standard tools in all online classrooms).
Times are between 8:30 – 16:30 local time with scheduled breaks and slots to work asynchronously.
