This course is for a duration of 3 terms minimum and is based around the A Level style of learning. A levels are a way to assess university entry, so this course will provide international students with that same opportunity.
It is possible for those with a lower level of English to attend this course, however, they will need to join an extended foundation programme for 4 to 7 terms.
A-level quality. Fast track results.
The Advanced Level Foundation course is rigorous and demanding because it compresses a 2-year A-level into one intensive year. This course is for:
- Academically able international students who want to progress to a very good UK university.
- Students who have completed 11 to 12 years of school in their home country.
Programme content is tailored specifically to the needs of international — rather than UK — students.
A-level quality
The one-year Kings Advanced Level Foundation is based on A-level syllabuses, assessed against A-levels and taught by A-level teachers, many of whom hold a PhD or equivalent.
A-level subject flexibility
You don’t need to take subjects in set combinations. Just like A-levels, you can combine subjects in any way to suit your strengths and interests.
Exceptional university acceptance:
Top UK universities understand the quality of the Advanced Level Foundation and the students who successfully complete it. Universities accepting students from this programme include: - University of St Andrews
- Durham University
- London School of Economics and Political Science
- University of Warwick
- University of Leeds
- University of Exeter
- University of Bath
- University of Birmingham

Questions and answers about Kings
- What do you recommend for a C2 student who wants to study at your school?“We don't always have C2 classes, but when we have students who have reached this level and require a greater challenge, we usually arrange for them to have some individual one to one classes so that they can receive this extra push. In this case a student would get the benefit of studying in a group environment for some of the time and for some of their hours they would leave the class and attend individual lessons, which could be tailored exactly to the student’s needs.”Mehmet Tepeli, EFL Admissions Manager from Kings Education - Nov 30, 2022
