Location: The school is in the heart of Hollywood on The Walk of Fame! It is conveniently located close to a subway station and the Hollywood and Highland Center shopping centre. Across the street is Kodak Theatre, where the Oscar Award Ceremony is held. There are countless bars, restaurants, grocery stores, shops, music venues and cafes all around the area.
Moving around the city: The Hollywood / Highland subway station is an 8-minute walk from Mentor Language Institute. This station has the red line service running through it, which goes all the way to Downtown Los Angeles, the central part of the city. There are bus stations all along Hollywood Boulevard as well as on Sunset Boulevard, which is about ten minutes by foot from the school.
Local attractions: All the exciting things to see in Hollywood are within walking distance of the Mentor Language Institute. It is possible to get to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art in under 20 minutes from the school, but bus services on Hollywood Boulevard. The Getty and the Santa Monica Pier are to the far west of Los Angeles. Students can use the bus services around the school to navigate to both these attractions in around an hour.
Course structure: The school has structured classes for students learning English as a Second Language. These can be taken as a general course or with extra courses attached such as a conversational extra or an exam preparation course. The ESL programme is the academy’s most popular course that they offer, since students have the opportunity to study two hours of grammar and writing, one hour of listening and speaking, and one hour of reading activities every day. The school believes in creating a relaxed learning environment where their multinational students can work together effectively and support one another, while being able to get to know each other thanks to a maximum class size of 15 participants.
All teaching staff possess bachelor’s and master’s degrees related to language education, or even PhD’s - ensuring that students receive knowledgeable guidance from the start. These teachers also take their groups out on excursions, or participate in extracurricular activities with their students - all with the intention of getting you to use your English skills outside of the classroom, in real-life situations.

TOEFL course Prerequisite: Completion of Intermediate (Track2) or higher, or a minimum placement test score of 52.
TOEFL program is an intensive look at the skills and strategies necessary to achieve a successful score on the four sections of the iBT. In addition to classroom introduction, the school regularly makes use of the computer lab at each campus in order to provide students with a more authentic iBT TOEFL experience. Computer practice is given in each subject area, but there is special emphasis on writing and speaking skills.
