How we create the points regarding what we like/dislike about a school

Location: Oxford International Education is in the centre of the city of Oxford. The school is just around the corner from the central square of Oxford, which is where the Carfax Tower resides. Around the school are a selection of local galleries and museums to visit to learn more about the area, commercial shops, restaurants and cafes. Westgate Shopping Mall is 3 minutes from the school building.

Getting around: The main centre of Oxford is navigable by foot from the school. 15 minutes from the school entrance is the Oxford Train Station, which has services that reach London in under an hour. There is an intricate bus service that runs through the city and the main central streets all have a selection of regular bus route stops.

Local attractions: The majority of the attractions within the city are based around Oxford University, the oldest university in all the English-speaking countries. The Bodleian Library is in the heart of the city and a short walk from the school. There are also a number of influential museums in the centre including the Ashmolean Museum of Art and Archaeology, Pitt Rivers Museum and Oxford University Museum of Natural History. The Oxford Castle & Prison is a 6-minute stroll from Oxford International Education.

Courses: Oxford International Education teaches group classes for general English in different intensities in the morning and an option for afternoon classes. An IELTS preparation course has been designed for students needing to pass the IELTS exam. The school organises a junior package during the summer holidays for students, which normally takes place in a different venue to the school building.

School chain: Oxford International is a world-renowned educational provider with many language schools throughout Europe, North America and the United Kingdom. The schools are all equipped to teach the English language in a range of options that covers a wide spectrum of student’s learning needs. For those wanting to further their education, Oxford International Education partners with a number of universities in the UK and Europe.

Questions and answers about Oxford International Education

  • Oxford International Education, and most of the schools we work with, accept students from the age of 16 in their adult courses.

The schools accept students from all adult age groups. This means that they will be with other international students, older or younger than them. Groups are organized according to language level, not age, although in high season, if there is more than one group of the same level, the age of the students will also be taken into account. To give you an idea, the average age during the year is around 25-30 years old, while in summer it goes down to 20-22 years old.

However, there are schools that do offer junior programmes, but only during the summer months, not in April. If you can delay your trip for a few months, let me know and we will see what alternatives we can offer you.

Also, I remind you that if there are 3 people booking, we can offer an extra 5% discount on the course price. For most of our partner schools, we offer a 5% discount on the course, and for these schools the discount rises to 10% on the course price.
