Location: Perth International College of English (PICE) is located in the city centre of Perth, Australia. The school is surrounded by shopping malls, cafés, restaurants and more. With the Perth town hall and public library only a 5-minute walk away, the school is in a great location to support students in the progress of their studies. Further attractions such as the Spanda, Central Park, Elizabeth Quay Waterfront and Bridge, and the Bell Tower are also within a 15-minute walk of the school, ensuring students have everything they need to embrace the city and enjoy it to its fullest. The Perth underground station is a 5-minute walk from the school.
Course selection: PICE offers a wide range of courses suitable to students of a variety of levels and needs. General English programmes are available to students of all levels, with courses in Business English, Academic English, Evening courses and a variety of Exam Preparation programmes (FCE, CAE, IELTS, PET) available to the more advanced students.
Accommodation: Should you require accommodation during your time in Perth, PICE would be happy to assist with options in Homestay, Hostel, Campus and property rentals, all available upon request.

Full time students at intermediate level or above can combine General English in the morning with afternoon electives in specialist areas. The students have the option to change their elective every 4 weeks. Electives include: English for Business, Academic English and Vocabulary and conversation.
Those travelling on a Tourist Visa can take the course for 12 weeks maximum, Working Holiday Visa holders up to 17 weeks maximum. And Student Visa holders up to 66 weeks.

PET is an exam for people who can use everyday written and spoken English at an intermediate level. It covers all four language skills — reading, writing, listening and speaking. Preparing for the exam is a popular way to develop and improve your language skills because it provides practical language practice in a variety of everyday work, study and leisure situations.
Choose the PET Preparation Course at P.I.C.E. if you need to improve your use of language in real life, such as understanding signs and announcements, and to get accepted by many employers as proof of ability to use English in clerical, secretarial or managerial jobs. It is also widely accepted for use in jobs where spoken English is necessary such as tourism, retail, construction, manufacturing and engineering.

The Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) is an advanced level English exam aiming to be a practical and relevant advanced qualification relating to the world of work and social interaction rather than strictly for academic purposes. Many students sitting for the CAE have already successfully passed the First Certificate in English (FCE). Like the FCE, the CAE exam preparation also provides intensive instruction in the 5 skill areas of the exam; speaking, listening, reading, writing and grammar.
Choose the CAE Preparation Course at P.I.C.E. if your English is at a pre-advanced standard that is adequate for most purposes, including social and professional situations. A positive result on this exam could also be useful in higher education in some situations.

There is no book or material fee at PICE. Students will buy their book at

Even if students would prefer to live in a private shared house, the school recommends students start in homestay accommodation for the first four weeks, while they look for suitable shared accommodation.
All P.I.C.E homestays are carefully chosen to ensure students receive a high standard of accommodation and a warm, friendly welcome to Western Australia.
Homestay students have their own room with a bed, desk and wardrobe space. Students in homestay receive breakfast and dinner during the week (half board) and breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday and Sunday and public holidays.
Most P.I.C.E homestays are within 45 minutes travelling time from the school by bus and/or train. Perth has an easy-to-use and inexpensive public transport system. The P.I.C.E student card entitles students who study for six weeks or more to buy a student ticket for Perth’s transport system. which gives a 45% discount on adult fares. Students are responsible for their own travel costs between their homestay and P.I.C.E.
