Progress is measured throughout the C1 Proficiency course and there is a review of unit material at the end of each week.

20 lessons General English in the morning combined with 8 lessons English for Art & Design in the afternoon. Students will learn vocabulary and structures to discuss art history, fashion, photography, graphic design and interior design. Also includes study visits to museums and galleries accompanied by the teacher (entry charges not included).

For non-native teachers of English who want to develop their professional knowledge and refresh their teaching methods. Topics covered might include classroom management, lesson planning, language development, observation of experienced teachers, practical teaching skills, and more.
Participants develop and explore aspects of teaching methodology and techniques, and learn to assess and utilise a variety of teaching aids and resources. There is no formal assessment, but at the end of the course all participants receive a certificate of attendance and a St Giles Teachers of English Course Certificate.
