HLI offers this Spanish home tuition programme on a 15-hour-per-week basis, in which the student moves into their teacher’s home in Alicante for the agreed period of time. The lessons are entirely tailored to the learner’s particular needs and objectives, ensuring that participants get the maximum value out of their time and effort learning Spanish in this way. Apart from that aspect, students on this programme will also spend considerable time speaking in Spanish with the host family during the meals that they provide, or even while enjoying the activities that Alicante offers residents. Alicante already has a large international presence, so you won’t find it hard to fit in and make connections after you get settled in. This is a city that offers a more laid-back lifestyle than some of the larger Spanish cities such as Madrid or Barcelona, but while still providing all of the opportunities for entertainment and outdoor activities that contribute to a good standard of living. In the case of having any issues relating to your course or accommodation, you will have the option of requesting assistance from HLI’s Local Organiser staff in Alicante. You enjoy full board accommodation, private language lessons, and free time outside lessons and mealtimes to explore on your own or share the daily life of your host family. Your host family will show you around the area, local shops, public transport, and help you organise excursions and activities during your stay. Learn your target language fast with an intensive language programme. Choose from 15, 20, 25, or 30 hours of one-to-one language lessons with your host teacher per week.
