What school directors said about Hong Kong

Hong Kong is a place where western and Chinese culture are well mixed.

The teachers were highly motivated and well prepared.
The leisure program is unfortunately not available. I've heard from classmates that long-term students (1+ year) are offered shared trips. However, there were zero events during my stay. Outside of your own class, unfortunately, there are no opportunities to get to know other classmates at the school, and there are no real common rooms. If you get one-to-one tuition because the booked course is not offered, you are left to fend for yourself after the end of the course. After a few days of one-to-one tuition, I was able to switch to a 15 lessons per week course plus a few individual lessons instead of the 24 lessons per week I had booked.

Q Language

- This school seems to be one of the language schools which offer one-week Mandarin course. - Good access by subway. As it's close to Sheung Wan Station(上環駅), it's convenient to go sightseeing.
- Two teachers taught me. One of them didn't prepare handouts and asked us to take a picture. As there is a copy machine in the office, I preferred to have handouts.

Information about Hong Kong

Why Hong Kong? Hong Kong is located in East Asia, just south of the Tropic of Cancer. An extraordinary, complex territory of seven million people that's a repository of traditional Chinese culture, a recently relinquished British outpost, and one of the key economies of the Pacific Rim. The view of sky-scrapered Hong Kong Island, across the harbour from Kowloon, is one of the most stunning urban panoramas on earth, but Hong Kong also holds some surprises for the traveller like the myriad shopping possibilities or a surprising number of inviting beaches. The city not only boasts money making businesses – with its traditional fine dining, great shopping and world-class hotels, Hong Kong has its unsung natural beauties, in the shape of looming mountains, secluded islets, hiking trails and island landscapes.
