Location: Concorde International Junior Centre Folkestone is a Junior Summer Language School that takes place in the port town of Folkestone on the English Channel. The school resides in Folkestone College, a modern college designed for giving higher education programmes throughout the year. Surrounding the school are various amenities, links to public transport and attractions such as the Lower Leas Coastal Park and Folkestone Beach.
Course selection: These immersive junior summer programmes are all-inclusive, with lessons, activities, accommodation, meals and excursions. Activities include walks, discos, quiz nights, murder mysteries and more. Full and half-day excursions include trips to Port Lympne, Cambridge, Greenwich, Ashford, London and more.
Accommodation: Accommodation is allocated in homestays with local families. Evening meals are shared with the family daily, ensuring students get ample time to practise what they have been learning at school, in addition to gaining the cultural knowledge of sharing a home with a family in the UK.
School facilities: The school facilities include large green spaces for outdoor breaks and social time, a large common room and tuck shop for buying something to eat or drink, WIFI, computer accounts for each student and sporting facilities. All classrooms are equipped with interactive whiteboards and televisions.
Getting around: Transport back to the homestay is included, and organised by Concorde International, after evening activities.
