Venue: Concorde International Junior Centre, Ashford, is based at Ashford School, a traditional English boarding school in the market town of Ashford, in Kent, the “Garden of England”. The school is in the safe, residential area of town known as East Hill, where it was founded in 1898 as a school for women. During the school year, Ashford School’s coeducational senior and prep schools are attended by a total of more than 800 students. The town of Ashford dates back to the thirteenth century when it was an important agricultural centre with a strong pottery industry.
Accommodation: Students on the Concorde International Junior English programmes at Ashford School can choose between on-campus residential accommodation or with a local host family (from age 10+). The two residences on campus can house a total of up to 110 students. Homestay options are often within walking distance of the school, though they can also be located in the nearby suburbs of Ashford.
Optional Activities & Add-ons: In addition to the activities programme and excursions already included in the summer camps, both residential and homestay students can participate in optional additional activities such as: horse riding; tennis; football; or FCE Exam preparation.
Getting there: All of London’s airports have relatively easy connections to Ashford. Though the one with the shortest transfer time by car is Gatwick (LGW). Ashford also has a large, international train station. Travel time to nearby Canterbury by rail is fifteen minutes and, depending which train you catch, you can be in London in under forty minutes.

Nationals from USA do not require a visa to study short term courses up to 180 days. A valid passport and an ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) is required to enter the UK. The application for the ETA is done online https://www.gov.uk/guidance/apply-for-an-electronic-travel-authorisation-eta. The answer is expected within 3 working days, costing GBP 16. The ETA allows multiple entries in the country for up to 6 months for a maximum of 2 years or until the passport used when applying expires.
