Location: LTL Mandarin School is in the south of Chengdu city. It is close to the
Jin Cheng park, the Global center and the Jinjiang River. There are a smattering of cafes, restaurants and clothing stores in the streets near the school.

Getting around: There are ample bus stops around the streets of the school that go to various places throughout the city. The core of the city is 13km from LTL Mandarin School. This is a 25-minute car ride.

Local attractions: Most of Chengdu’s attractions are to the north of the city. The shopping street of Chunxi Road and the Wenshu Yuan Monastery are in the heart of Chengdu. To the north west of the city is the Jinsha Site Museum Tourist Center. From the school, this is 20 minutes by car.

Course structure: LTL Mandarin School has immersive Mandarin programmes as both a group or individual structure.

Survival kit: The school has created a package to help students settle into the city. These can be brought by the school on arrival. The packs consist of a sim card, airport pick up, subway card, map, locker, LTL bag, personalised coffee cup and assistance in registering in the city and setting up a bank account.

“All the teachers are very friendly and helpful. They gave lots of tips about Chengdu. I particularly enjoyed the (optional) lunch together during the lunch break. Due to the good location of the school, there are many small restaurants in the neighbourhood that are worth visiting. (Bu la!)
My teacher (Leona) taught me a lot in a short space of time and also found a few mistakes that I like to make. Hats off to her!
I also enjoyed the activities after class. A bike tour through Chengdu, a weekend trip to Chongqing. It was great!
