Harvard University is a top-tier, privately funded Ivy League university located in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Almost requiring no introduction, Harvard is the oldest and one of the most prestigious universities in the United States, and arguably also among the most prestigious in the world. Harvard’s main campus is based on Harvard Yard in Cambridge, which is roughly 3 miles west of downtown Boston. The campus is home to twelve residential halls, each one with its own faculty deans and resident tutors, and even facilities like libraries and dining halls.
