What our students said about Sainte-Anne

Rating: 3/5

I liked the town, there is everything you need. The ice cream parlour is great, the supermarkets are adequate and the locals are very friendly. However, I wouldn't recommend walking alone in the dark, because as a tourist you stand out a lot and that's not always positive.

Personal atmosphere, lots of conversation, good mix of speaking, reading, listening etc. Interesting topics specific to Guadeloupe.
Joel is super nice and a very good professor, despite the relaxed atmosphere he manages to push students gently but firmly.

I was picked up from where I stood with my knowledge. Then we continued to work in a targeted manner.

The teachers were very nice and inspiring. They all had a very positive attitude, were very helpful and encouraged the students in the learning process. They made the classes very interactive, fun and always tried to incorporate fun games and recent and relevant topics for discussion. I always looked forward to going to the classes.
Judging from the discription on the school's website I had expected that the school would organise more social activities and opportunities to explore the island and local culture. But unfortunately while I was there, there were no activities organised by the school and everything was done at the students' own initiative. I found this a pity, since everything was new for the students, who had to figure out everything by themselves while the staff would have more knowledge on all of these things.

The other students, good international mix
Do not let them book the accomodation! They will rip you off. Be prepared for unprofessional teachers, frequent change of teachers and groups. Be prepared for noisy classrooms without AC

Very relaxed atmosphere with great local teachers who also joined us occasionally for dinners etc. The school is very small, which comes with the benefit of very small groups (2-4 students at the time when I was there).
