The organisation was not above average. I would have liked to receive more information from the city or the opportunity to take conversation classes or excursions in the afternoon.

I didn't know I was going to be placed in an existing course. Learned quite a bit nevertheless! On the last day we only watched a film, which was a shame. The first day was cancelled due to illness, so learning time was shortened (but I had an individual lesson in return).

Accommodation

The accommodation was far too expensive for what was offered. You could hardly use the kitchen because everything was covered in grease and there was hardly any tableware. I didn't get to know much about the other flatmates. I thought you shared a flat with other language students, but that wasn't the case. That's why I was unhappy with the situation.

The teachers are all very competent and helpful. The staff in the office is very friendly.

I would recommend not to take the beginners course without any prior knowledge. The level of teaching is very high.

What I didn't like was all the group work during the class. Otherwise, I felt very comfortable.

Milan is a great city and well worth seeing. I really enjoyed the evening "aperitivo".

Positive aspects of school

You could tell that the teachers knew the content well and that they prepared their lessons. They are flexible and they show interest for their students' progress. However, during the first 3 weeks there were quite a few new students and I had the feeling that we did not learn that much.

Other comments

They should improve the organisation of the different levels so that new students don't slow everyone down.

Positive aspects of school

Very nice and kind teachers and staff, well-organized transfer. Their secretary, Maori, supported me throughout the course, she was awake to write me at 3 am when I was going to take my plane. I liked the hosts of the apartment, they are very kind and helpful. Really miss you all.

The fantastic quality of the teachers and guides and their patience.

Other comments

We were not too happy about the accommodation even though it was, as promised, a flat with 2 separate bedrooms - fairly close to the school. The family itself (the father) was alright and polite. The flat was modern. The reason why we did not like it was because: - it was in a cellar with no view outside - the family, living upstairs (the owners) could be heard all the time as there was an open stairwell in one corner of the kitchen, so at times it was difficult to fall asleep because of their television.
