Positive aspects of school
The school is very central and, in general, I liked the teachers.
Negative aspects
The school consists of three buildings, two together and one further away. When entering the main building it always had a very bad smell. I did not like the building where I went in the mornings, which was far from the others, and it was also very old, it seemed that the floor was going to sink, the classroom was very small and without air conditioning, but it had tables, something that in the other buildings were only chairs with a small table top that hardly fit anything.
In the first class in the afternoon they put me at a level too high for me and I had to ask myself to change class after a week of having a hard time. I think the teacher is the one who would have had to do it.
In each building there was only one bathroom with a single toilet on each floor to be shared by everyone, and above all very small.
City/place
I really like Cambridge.

Positive aspects of school
Friendly administrative and teaching staff, always willing to help. If you come for a long time, you can take a small break for a week (prior notice) and they will extend the week you missed. The facilities are fine.
Insider tips about what future students should not miss
It is a small school with good facilities and the number of students is not very large, except in the summer, when many students arrive. However, they manage so that there are no more than 15 students in the classrooms. Usually, the classes have between 9 and 14 people.
Other comments
Good location. Twice a week they have free activities with teachers to practice speaking with other students outside of the academy in a more relaxed environment.
City/place
Small but charming city with things to do. I imagine that for very long periods, 5-6 months it is too small for you but you always have the train to escape to another city.
Quality of teaching / language progress
4 months in the academy have helped me a lot with my English. I arrived with a level a little below the Intermediate and I even started the Upper-Intermediate level. Each person has its own rhythm, but I do notice a lot the difference between my current level and the low level I had when I left. As everywhere, some teachers were better than others but, in general, all had a good academic and didactic level. The school staff were always willing to help and even taught me a few words in English.
