How we create the points regarding what we like/dislike about a school
Location: Bydgoszcz is a Polish city to the North of the country, around 4 hours by train from the country's capital city, Warsaw. Ara Language School is located on the outskirts of the Bydgoszcz in a quiet and peaceful neighbourhood, near a primary school and has supermarkets and local stores for all your essentials.
Getting around: The city has its own International airport, just 15 minutes by public transport from the city centre, making it easy for international students to arrive into the city. It is possible to go to the city centre by train from the school and the train station is just under a 30 minute walk from the entrance of Ara Language School.
Local attractions: Bydgoszcz has the River Brda running through its centre, which makes for a peaceful afternoon stroll along the waterfront. You cannot miss the Art Nouveau architecture, popular throughout the city. The city has bars and clubs for those wanting to enjoy a weekend night as well as plenty of shops to explore during the day including the Focus Bydgoszcz, a shopping mall with all the commercial brands.
Course structure: The school offers Polish courses for adults over 18 years of age as an Intensive course of 25 lessons per week, a standard course of 20 hours per week or private packages which are adaptable to the students wishes. The course start dates are once a month and students can learn a course for a duration that fits their personal needs.
School environment: The classrooms are designed to optimise learning with air conditioning in all the rooms and an electronic whiteboard in some. The teachers all hold degrees and teach Polish at a high standard. The school aims to encourage students to practise their Polish outside the classroom and has created a warm, homely atmosphere so students feel relaxed and confident in speaking their newly learnt language. There is a student support desk if you have any questions about the school or your stay in Bydgoszcz with staff trained to deal with queries in a professional and supportive manner.

We already have several years of experience in teaching foreign languages. In teaching Polish, we support the so-called Direct method (Polish designed with Direct Method).
Our mother tongue is the Polish language but we also know English and German, so you can be calm about whether we understand each other.
We will help you find accommodation in nearby hotels or in nearby homes (homestay) and propose to organize your free time in Bydgoszcz.
Special note for 2024 holiday season: If you plan to take a course during the high season months of April, June, July or August 2024 we urgently advise you to book as early as possible. In 2023 many schools were fully booked during the holidays, and the situation is unlikely to be different for 2024 due to a current shortage of teachers, which affects most schools.

Generally course material has to be purchased by the student. The costs of course material will be approximately 50 € per course level.
Individual classes
Single individual lessons of tuition can be reserved at 25 €. The combination of group and individual lessons is highly recommended. Individual lessons will encourage you to actively speak the foreign language and will offer you the opportunity to discuss individual problems and weaknesses.
