The teachers were friendly and welcoming. Christina, who I had for three of the five days was lovely! I appreciated how they didn't feel required to stick to their lesson plan and would branch off into a "discussion/teaching" arising out of a topic from the lesson.
Insider tips about what future students should not miss I enrolled in this course as a break from my walk on the Camino. If Pilgrims have the time, this is a wonderful opportunity to learn a little Spanish while enjoying the amazing culture and history of Leon, Spain.

Other comments I appreciate that the School was able to fit me in during my five days in Leon, with very little advanced warning. I'm not sure how many Camino Pilgrims (or tourists) attend this school but I think that a curriculum with a stronger focus on "tourist Spanish" would have been helpful. For example, my lesson could have included assignments to use Spanish at the hotels, in the restaurants, at the bus and train stations, in the shops and pharmacies, asking for directions and having friendly conversations with Spanish speaking people that you meet along the Camino!

The teacher was good. Laura picked me up from the train station on the day of my arrival. I liked that a lot.
Disliked
To my surprise, we used a very old book. I was very surprised that there were no smoke detectors either in the house where I slept or at school. That seems very dangerous to me. In the Netherlands its use is mandatory. I didn't like the chairs. I would have liked to have a window in the classroom. I have not been informed about activities or excursions in the afternoon.
