Location: EF International Language Center Munich is located in the Bavarian capital city of Munich, Germany. This course is ideal for students who want to achieve a general understanding of German, with a balanced approach towards all of the main language skills. You will develop your abilities with EF Munich’s 26 weekly classes, and by staying with a local homestay family you have the opportunity to continue speaking German when you’re not in class or out in public.
The General German course also provides 4 Special Interest Lessons, which you can take advantage of to go more in-depth with topics that you would like to learn more about.
When it comes to meals, your host family will provide you with breakfast and dinner. In most families’ homes, breakfast is taken individually, while dinner is expected to be enjoyed together. The cost of course materials vary depending on the duration of the course:
1-6 weeks is EUR 55
7-12 weeks is EUR 95
13-18 weeks is EUR 145
19-24 weeks is EUR 195
25-30 weeks is EUR 245
31-36 weeks is EUR 295
37-42 weeks is EUR 345
43-48 weeks is EUR 395
49-52 weeks is EUR 445.
Cancellation Protection fee: EUR 85 (Non-refundable).
Students must book travel insurance, which covers the whole period of the course and stay in Munich. Students can book Erika Insurance Coverage via the school:
- Two weeks: EUR 85.
- Per additional extra week: EUR 40.
Students can have another insurance but they must prove they have booked another one.
Accommodation: - The twin room homestay included in the tuition price can be upgraded to a single room homestay for EUR 50 per week.
- Homestays are no further than 45 minutes by public transportation from school.
- Residence accommodation is also available upon request and subject to availability.
Classes are likely to take place on some days in the morning and other days in the afternoon. Students will be given the exact timetable closer to the start date. These are sample times and lessons will fall within the time frames stated depending on availability and time of year.
