Location: Expanish is right in the centre of Barcelona city, in the neighbourhood of Exiample. It is an high-end area of the city, with lots of designer shops, upmarket restaurants and brunch cafes.
Travelling around the city: It is a 20 minute walk from Expanish to Plaça de Catalunya. This is the very core of Barcelona with lots of restaurants and shopping options, including a large
El Corte Inglés department store. The Diagonal Metro Station is one block away from the school. From this station, students can take the green or the blue line which both pass major Barcelona landmarks. The Verdaguer Metro Station is just 7 minutes by foot from Expanish. This is a station for the yellow line which stretches along the coast, and is easy to visit the beaches.
Things to see in Barcelona: Sagrada Familia is close to the school. Students can walk there in under 20 minutes or take the metro in 8 minutes. Casa Milà is just around the corner, and Casa Batlló is ten minutes by foot. With the different transportation options close by, it is very easy to visit all the attractions in the city.

Intensive Spanish is the most popular course on offer from Expanish at their Barcelona location. This gap-year program takes into account that students will also take a certain number of weeks off from classes during the course of their studies. Course length is calculated as follows:
6-month program = 24 weeks of group lessons + 5 weeks of vacation

This is a package of 10 private lessons per week, specially designed for students wanting to pass the DELE exam.
This program is composed of individual classes which are designed to assure that you develop the required competencies to pass the exam.
In this course, the goal is to familiarize you with all forms of Spanish, for this reason, you will be presented with Spanish reading, writing and listening exercises composed of Spanish from across the Hispanic world, such as Spain and Latin America.
The learning materials provided in the course are designed to prepare you for the exam, as well as the different areas of the test. At the close of the DELE exam preparation, you will take a practice exam that will help you apply your acquired knowledge and skills and to prepare for the examination.

This program consists of private classes specially conceived to prepare you to take the SIELE exam. The recommended amount of preparation time is 3 weeks.
The student will learn test taking strategies and grammar, as well as provide practice exams. The exam prep course introduces a variety of activities which will promote the development of four basic skills (writing, reading, conversation, and listening), all of which are essential in successfully passing the SIELE exam.
The course uses a variety of Spanish texts in order to expose students to multiple forms of Spanish which used around the world. Students receive learning materials in order to prepare specifically for the exam and will be coached in each areas of evaluation, as well as a practice exam which will help integrate acquired knowledge and skills and to practice in a real testing setting.

Share an apartment with other young students from all over the world in an independent environment. Students can use communal spaces, such as the living room, dining, kitchen, etc. It is ideal for those who are looking for affordable housing and a social and cultural experience in Spain. By living with other students you gain the chance to chat about your awesome experiences, get to learn their opinion and maybe even make some new friends along the way.
A Student Shared Apartment is a great way to have an authentic, independent living experience in the city. Students will share common areas like bathrooms and kitchen with other international students. Each apartment has 2 to 8 international students, so there may be other Expanish students or living in the same place, although this is not guaranteed.
All bedrooms contain: bed, nightstand, closet/storage space for clothes, fan, gas or electric heater, window, two sets of sheets and towels, wifi (throughout the apartment).

● Includes free Wi-Fi, bed linens and towels, and weekly cleaning of common areas (each student is responsible for their own room)
● Weekly cleaning is of common areas. If students would like the cleaning of their bedroom there is an additional cost of 15€ per cleaning.

In the shared apartment students will live with other international students, both Expanish and non-Expanish students who are typically between the ages of 18 and 30, although there is no strict age limit. Apartments range from two to eight people, depending on the size of the apartment. Apartment mates may be of any sex, so there are no gender-specific apartments.

The residence has a cafeteria that offers buffet meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner 7 days a week. They always have vegetarian, vegan, and celiac options. Meal plans are purchased on-site.
The residence is located in the neighborhood of Sants-Montjüic, right next to the Plaza de los Países Catalanes. The newly built residence opened in September 2019 and houses international and Spanish students and is a great way to live in a social environment a short distance to the school. The residence is in a modern building with 220 rooms for students.

Options are: breakfast, halfboard or fullboard. The residence is located 12 minutes from the school using the L5 line of the subway (3 stops).

Students can use communal spaces, such as the living room, dining, kitchen, etc. It is ideal for those who are looking for affordable housing and a social and cultural experience in Spain. By living with other students you gain the chance to chat about your awesome experiences, get to learn their opinion and maybe even make some new friends along the way.
A Student Shared Apartment is a great way to have an authentic, independent living experience in the city. Students will share common areas like bathrooms and kitchen with other international students. Each apartment has 2 to 8 international students, so there may be other Expanish students or living in the same place, although this is not guaranteed.
All bedrooms contain: bed, nightstand, closet/storage space for clothes, fan, gas or electric heater, window, two sets of sheets and towels, wifi (throughout the apartment).
