Student opinions about Scuola Toscana, Florence

Verified reviews only, uncensored. All student opinions from students who booked a course at the school with LanguageCourse.net.
Liked
My teacher Lorenzo was simply brilliant, both in the grammar courses and in the conversation. Clear, very good quality teaching, interesting and varied topics in the conversations. One would really like to have such dedicated teachers more often. The number of students, between 5-16, depending on the course and week, of different nationalities (from Japan, Philippines, England, China, Austria, Hungary, Poland, Switzerland, USA, Germany), was an interesting, enriching mixture and exchange.
Disliked
The activity programme on some afternoons is rather limited, only one per week. There is a programme of excursions by a cooperation partner, with correspondingly higher additional costs, to surrounding towns, regions but rather too main-touristy, for my taste. It was a shame that the Scuola Toscana student card could not be used for any discounts in museums, exhibitions, etc. It was rejected everywhere. The city of Florence should really recognise these cards accordingly, especially since the language students are in the city for two to many weeks and visit and explore a lot, spend some time there and live, supporting the local economy and the city.
Insider tips about what future students should not miss Visit museums, exhibitions, churches, typical Florentine restaurants and craft shops. Avoid the mainstream. Explore Florence early in the morning and stroll through the city.

Quality of teaching / language progress: Good to manage. A solution booklet, possibly as a download after the course, would be advantageous for revision and review at home. Placement test should be timed, too long a test time distorts the result somewhat.

The school is very good, the quality of teaching and progress is very good. As for the teachers, especially two MARIELLA AND DANIELA are TOP, they do a great job on grammar, conversation and the classes are very fun and easy to understand. They make you progress quickly. The activities and excursions they offer make it a very complete and effective intensive course.
Disliked
I didn't find anything negative, on the contrary, they are fantastic, very well organized and, in my opinion, it is a first-class school.

Great teachers who are very committed. Activities three times a week (guided tour of the city, excursion to Arezzo, etc.). There is a really nice atmosphere in the school, tips are given on how to spend your free time and everyone is always ready to help the students. Great insider tips etc.
Disliked
The chairs in (my) classroom were not very comfortable, but that was different in other rooms and is really complaining on a damn high level.
