Student opinions about The Slaney Language Centre, Wexford
Questions and answers about The Slaney Language Centre
- I would like to book a course for my child and we would like to stay together in a private apartment. Can you help with this?“Of course, we can book a junior course with lessons only for your child. We don't arrange private apartments for families, but we will be happy to provide you with tips on where you can find private apartments in the vicinity.”Louise Granath, LanguageCourse.net - Apr 08, 2022
- My son (junior course) arrives on Sunday at midnight, but the pick-up service is only available between 11:00 and 18:00 h. Could you pick him up at the airport at that time? Could he alternatively arrive on a Saturday?“Our airport transfers for 70 € per person are only available on Sundays between 11:00 and 18:00 h. He would need to book a taxi if he arrives that late. On the other hand, if the student arrives on Saturday, he will need to book a taxi (100 € in total) anyway. Alternatively, we could need to organize for someone to meet him at the Arrivals Hall and walk with him to the public bus. There is a company doing this, but they charge around 75 € for their Meet and Greet service. The public bus costs approx. 20 €.”Lisa Bartsch, Managing Director from The Slaney Language Centre - Apr 22, 2022
- I would like a 2-week programme for my wife and 2-French speaking sons (11, 12). What do you recommend?“Your sons could attend our Keen Teens courses. I would recommend the General English Group Course Intensive for the mother. The timetable is the same as the timetable for our children and teenage classes.
”Lisa Bartsch, Managing Director from The Slaney Language Centre, Wexford - Nov 28, 2022 - What accommodation would you recommend for my wife and 2 sons and can you find availability in apartments during the summer months?“Accommodation wise we recommend families to stay in a self-catering apartment. Please note that apartments in Wexford for the summer are usually booked up in January/February.
”Lisa Bartsch, Managing Director from The Slaney Language Centre, Wexford - Nov 28, 2022 - Do you usually eat lunch at school or at the host family’s house?
“Students bring their lunches to the language school and eat it there.”Gosia Mazur, LanguageCourse.Net - Mar 14, 2023 - Is it possible to book a single room when choosing the Summer Teen Programme?“This programme offers accommodation in double rooms only.”Gosia Mazur, LanguageCourse.Net - Mar 14, 2023
- I would like to have a private bathroom in a host family. Does it exist?“In summer, we need every single one of our host families and we cannot guarantee any requests such as private bathrooms.
If the private bathroom is very important, I would suggest booking a B&B. The Abbey House B&B is located only a few minutes’ walk from our language school and all rooms are en-suite.”Lisa Bartsch, Managing Director from The Slaney Language Centre - Jun 13, 2023 - Can we stay as a family of 4 with two children in the same host family?“We do not place families with host families. We occasionally make an exception if it is just a single parent and one child.
We could place the two teenagers with one host family and (if they also attend a course with us) the parents with another host family. We have some families who prefer hosting teenagers and other families who prefer hosting adults.”Lisa Bartsch, Managing Director from The Slaney Language Centre - Jun 13, 2023 - Is it possible to book the course "Easter Teen Package Program" without accommodation?“If they wish to book full Easter Teen Programme including the activities and a group monitor, we will take off the price for the homestay if they have private accommodation”Lisa Bartsch, Managing Director from The Slaney Language Centre - Jun 13, 2023
