Location: YCODE Russian Language School Sochi is a language and culture school located in the diverse city of Sochi, which borders the black sea in southern Russia. The school is housed in the city centre, a short distance from eateries, commercial shopping complexes, green spaces, links to public transport, and various attractions and sites of interest. Such attractions within walking distance of the school include the Bol'shoy Sochinskiy Del'finariy, Morskaya Naberezhnaya Tsentral'noy Chasti Sochi, the Grand Marina Gallery and Ploshchad' Flaga. The Sochi National Park is within a 25-minute bus journey of the school.
Social and cultural: The school offers students a wide range of excursions, such as walking tours around the city, Stalin Kuntsevo Dacha and architecture, and the Olympic legacy. Speaking clubs are also regularly available at the weekends, giving students a fantastic means to practise what they have learned throughout the week.
Course selection: The school teaches both Russian and English language courses in addition to several other subjects such as Math, Culture, and Engineering. The Russian courses are available to students of all levels and ages (4 years +), over several schedules and intensities. Individual, one-to-one, tuition is available in conjunction with any other programme or independently.

Mini-Group Russian language courses are held in mini-groups and include all aspects of the Russian language: speaking Russian, writing, reading, listening, Russian grammar and pronunciation with a special emphasis on general daily Russian communication skills. Our instructors who teach group Russian courses use a variety of modern teaching techniques such as role-play, task-based activities, games and discussions. An advantage of the Group Russian language courses is the exciting international atmosphere and exposure to a variety of cultures that one can experience learning Russian with fellow students. In one or two weeks a beginner can learn the Russian alphabet, gain a basic understanding of the language system, and learn a number of the most useful words and expressions used in everyday Russian. Non-beginners can improve their language skills at any level even within one week.
Combined with the Russian courses and a wide range of entertainment activities, the Language school provides Speaking clubs with Russian citizens, which give a deeper perspective of Russian life and history, and conversation club meetings where students can develop their communication skills by discussing a variety of interesting topics.
Typical content of the course - depending on different levels. Teachers use the best programs for beginners and conversational topics and active speaking tasks for intermediate students.
Special note for 2024 holiday season: If you plan to take a course during the high season months of April, June, July or August 2024 we urgently advise you to book as early as possible. In 2023 many schools were fully booked during the holidays, and the situation is unlikely to be different for 2024 due to a current shortage of teachers, which affects most schools.

Homestays allow students to immerse themselves in Russian, while living with a local family. For students travelling together and studying at the school it is possible to book a double room that you will share with your travel companion. Solo travellers have to opt for the single room.
Homestays have following facilities:
- Wifi throughout the home.
- Bed sheets and towels will be provided for you.
Your homestay will have been carefully selected by the Russian staff for quality. There are many excellent neighbourhoods around the school, and your homestay will be within 35 minutes of the school building by public transport (maximum).
Mainly we choose homestays in the city centre, where you can enjoy the parks and beaches, restaurants and shops. If you want to have meals during your stay, it should be discussed directly with the host. Mainly students have access to the kitchen and can cook for themselves. Russian people have different taste for food, but you can see the difference while your stay with a local family.
