What our students said about Trieste
I’ve visited Trieste a few times before, but this time I got to know the city much better. I really enjoyed it. The food is good and affordable, and the city is clean, safe, and laid-back. I also like that it’s not too big. There’s plenty to see in and around the city. The only downside was the bora wind, which blew for 2–3 days during each of the two weeks I was there.
It is a great city. People are very friendly and there are many points of interest. In addition, it is very safe and the prices are acceptable. The most beautiful thing about the city, apart from the people, are the landscapes; the Adriatic Sea is extremely beautiful.
Pleasant atmosphere, we didn't take part in the nightlife, we didn't use public transport. Car parking relatively expensive. The privately rented flat had its own car parking space. If staying in summer, a sandy beach would be nice.
I enjoy Trieste time and time again. I've been there about twice every time since 2018. However, because there are so many cruise ships docking now, the city is quite crowded and noisy during this time.
You can feel the historical past of the Austrian monarchy (buildings and squares), and at the same time life in the city simply oozes southern flair. I liked the city very much and felt very at home.
Didn't visit too many things but just enjoyed walking around the city and to the water. The history of the city is interesting and there are many parks and opportunities for hiking.
I didn't use public transport as everything was within walking distance for us (10-20 minutes). There are lots of good bars and restaurants. I can't judge the later nightlife.
Should remain an insider tip, as not yet overcrowded, still "normal" prices for meals, entrance fees etc.; public transport with excellent app for navigation and timetable.
It is a large, noisy busy city. It offers a range of entertainment, even free of charge. It is interesting and safe. I especially liked the old town with its atmosphere.
Trieste is a very beautiful, liveable city. Colourful and lively. Only the lack of greenery in the city and the large amounts of dog faeces everywhere deducted points.
Most recent student reviews of language schools in Trieste

I especially enjoyed the classes and the friendliness of the instructors, as well as working in small groups. We were a great team; the working atmosphere was fantastic and collaborative. After class, we went out to eat together and continued speaking Italian, which was very beneficial for everyone. For these reasons, I would definitely recommend Piccola Universita and would definitely come back myself.

Our teachers, Valentina and Lara, were really great. They were very kind and patient. The grammar and conversation classes were always well-coordinated and very well-structured overall. I was able to brush up on the Italian I had learned a long time ago, and I now feel much more confident speaking it. The ladies at the front desk were also extremely kind and helpful.

I am looking for an intensive course for adults at B2 level. I have chosen 2 weeks but it could be 3 weeks.
I would like to ask if it is possible to have space for the car and if it is possible to use the kitchen.
Can I pay in installments?
1.- Prepayment. Due in the moment of registration. This payment is necessary so that we can send the booking to the school. Without this payment, the school cannot process the booking. If everything is okay, the school will send us the confirmation 1-2 business days later.
2.- Outstanding amount. This amount has to be paid to the school after the confirmation of the booking. Once this amount has been paid, the school can send the visa document if you require that.”
