Location: LSI - Language Studies International Brisbane is located in the modern riverside city of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Within walking distance of several amenities, eateries, restaurants and many of the city's attractions, the school is well situated. Attractions and sites of interest within walking distance of the school include the Roma Street Parkland, Brisbane City Botanic Gardens, the QAGOMA Art Museum and The Wheel of Brisbane.
Getting around: Brisbane has a river that runs right through it, making Ferry transportation very popular. The closest ferry port to the school is the Riverside Ferry terminal, which is a 900m walk from the school's front doors. LSI Brisbane is within a 10-minute walk of the city centre and many of its attractions. There are also several links to bus routes within a moment's walk of the school.
Course structure: General English courses are available in a group format, for individual learners or as a combination of both group and private classes. There are exam preparation courses to help students prepare for the major English exams including the Cambridge exams, IELTS, TOEFL and TOEIC. Courses for those wanting to excel in the business world, there are classes to learn English specifically for this purpose.
Further education: There is an Academic English course and Pathway Programme available for those wanting to extend their studies into further education. The content of these courses to prepare students for the type of English they need to excel in this environment as well as help with the application process. The Academic English course includes exam preparation to pass any exams that may be required to continue their study.
Social and cultural: LSI Brisbane offers students an active social programme which includes activities such as sports, movie nights, museum visits and weekend excursions to the Sunshine Coast, Byron Bay and the Great Barrier Reef.
School chain: As a group, Language Studies International (LSI) has schools located in 7 countries throughout the world. These countries include France, the USA, England, New Zealand, Switzerland and Canada.
For over 55 years, LSI has supplied tuition to adults, juniors and teachers. Their schools are accredited internationally by such accreditors as EAQUALS, Accet, the British Council, English New Zealand, Languages Canada and more.

The LSI Intensive 30 course concentrates on all the areas that you need to achieve a much greater fluency in a short period of time. This course is suitable for students who wish to study intensively and get a well rounded insight into the language and country. Students on the LSI Intensive 30 course study the same lessons as described for General 20 (lessons 1-4). In addition during lessons 5–6, there are a range of electives to suit all levels, needs and interests.

Can I pay for travel and health insurance at school?
“No, unfortunately, this is not possible. You should get an insurance before travelling. The school actually recommends that all students travelling abroad purchase comprehensive travel, accident and medical insurance in their own countries. LSI, its representatives and staff will not be liable for any loss, damages, illness or injuries to people or property however these may occur unless such liability is legally imposed. It is the student’s responsibility to take out insurance against all such risks.”
