The General English programme from Hansa Language Centre has its students work on all the aspects of English study that you would expect from a course with a general approach: grammar, pronunciation, reading, writing, listening, and plenty of conversation practice. The school takes pride in being able to offer small class sizes, which has the benefit of promoting better communication between teachers and all students.
These classes take place at the Yonge Street campus, on a weekly commitment of 20 hours per week. All participants are assigned to a group that most closely represents their current English level, but can later be changed depending on your progress and other factors. New students can start on practically any Monday of the year, so you’ll be able to jump in whenever you want.

If you’ve ever wanted to study English in Canada, then HLI’s homestay programme could be what you’re looking for. You will take 15 hours of carefully designed one-to-one lessons with your teacher in their home, which could be based on any topic that you are interested in. Three meals will be provided by your host family every day, which is often an excellent opportunity to sit down and chat, and learn about the Canadian culture in Toronto.
