Immerse yourself in Swedish by living and studying at your teacher’s home in Stockholm. You’ll get all the benefits of following a routine of lessons with your teacher - in this case 15 sessions per week - and you will also be able to develop your communication skills outside of class hours thanks to constant communication opportunities with your host family during meals, or with the reserved but friendly local residents of Stockholm.
As you would expect, the winters in Stockholm are longer and darker than in many regions of the world, but this is simply incorporated into the lifestyle of the residents here as they take advantage of the situation to enjoy skiing, sledding, and a range of other snow-based activities. In terms of cultural attractions, you might start by checking out one of the city’s Royal Palace or the famous Fotografiska Museum.
Students and guests are able to get in contact with HLI’s Local Organisers to communicate any issues they might be having with their home tuition programme.
