Why Manta? Manta is a port town of Ecuador and is a city popular among tourists due to its big waves which offers plenty of water sport activities including surfing and body-boarding. It is an important centre for the fishing and tuna-processing industries and you can find a huge statue of a tuna (plus can) in the centre of town. The city has a busy nightlife scene and restaurants in the area serve up some of the best fish in the region.
