ホームステイ先は学校まで徒歩10分となっていたが、実際は速く歩いて20分、通常は25-30分かかった。ホームステイ先が他の生徒よりもずっと遠かった。ホストファミリーはとっても親切・親身で居心地が良かった。学校も、先生・授業とも楽しく、たった2週間でも思った以上に語学が向上した。サラマンカは治安も良く物価も安く、また行きたいと思った。

die Schule passt leider nicht fuer kurze Aufenthalt oder Bildungsurlaub. Lernmaterial und Unterrichtsart sind fuer lang bleibende Schuler gedacht.

Ich habe bis jetzt bei verschiedener Sprachschule in Spanien Bildungsurlaub gemacht. Leider muss ich sagen, diese Schule ist am schlechtesten, besonders fuer Bildungsurlaub. Sie hat eigene Schulbuch und Lehrer unterrichten nur mit dem Buch und haben keine eigene Methode. Es gab keine Konversationsmoeglichkeit, nur Grammatik. Sie gibt keine Lernmaterial fuer kurze Schuler und ich musste selber fotokopie machen und auch nicht in der Schule, sondern privat, natuerlich selber bezahlen. Ich habe eigentlich nichts neues gelernt, will nie mehr diese Schule besuchen.

I liked the method of teaching very much... the teachers encouraged us very much to speak and the grammar was used to back it all up.

I was lucky to be in classes with 4-7 students which gave it all a cool and intimate environment. Though at the end of September the amount of students decreased very much which made it more difficult to find a group that suited my level, but either way I was very happy with what I learned.

I liked the geographic position of the school, the good mood of the teachers. The teachers are young and this is very cool for a summer school

The teachers and the books were very good. There were some other students who were not interested in learning Spanish, this was very hard for the rest of the class.

The accomodation in the host family was agreeable; small room, but good food.

I most liked the one-to-one lessons, due to the fact they were definitely most effective.

organization, personal contact with teachers. I was there only 1 week but I felt they had knew me for weeks! The students got involved fast with each other.

Get a map of the city before you arrive. Go by train from Madrid airport. It's easy. Salamanca is a small city. Go out in the week-end.get information about bus trip to Zamora or Segovia.

Maybee a bit more talking spanish in the class in the 4th hour? I liked this week very much. It worked like a train!!

my hostfamily was not really a family,but just one lady , so don't expect too much of practising your spanish at home.

If you are an absolute beginner, you should learn the basical skills first. After you have done this, the language school in salamanca is a really good place to become better. By the way, the teachers recommend a work book, you have to buy it (about 12 € but not for sure) but it`s worth it.

The teachers are excellent and there are many different nationalities among the students, which is interesting and helps speaking spanish. However, the average age of students in high season is very low (about 20) for "oldies" like me (38).

There were a lot of international students being not too old as well. If one character is outgoing there will be no problems getting to know many people.

Going out on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday as long as possible + visiting Madrid.
