What our students said about Bordeaux

Beautiful, elegant and charming city. Felt very safe and enjoyed exploring the city and nearby beaches. Would be nice to have the option to get the bus to Arcachon. Bordeaux is a great place to visit. However, it could do with more visible and thorough acknowledgement of the part it, and its citizens, took in the horrific kidnapping, raping, torture, murder and exploitation of the people it enslaved in Africa and Haiti. Questions were asked in our class about why monuments to people involved in the slave trade continue to stand.

5.0Suzanne England UK

Bordeaux is a very good city to travel to, it offers a lot of activities and there are many places nearby to visit. Unfortunately when I was there it was very hot and it was difficult to do things during the day because it was very oppressive together with the humidity. Still the experience was very positive.

5.0Leticia Spain

Bordeaux has atmosphere! I really liked it all round: the city centre with its many squares, the beautiful architecture, the many cafés and restaurants that are always busy, the lively hustle and bustle along the Garonne.

4.0Hanna Germany

Great city to visit - variety of monuments, good restaurants and plenty of cultural activities! You have to avoid certain places at night, just like in any other big city. Other than that - everything was awesome!

4.0Sonia Poland

Public transport great, not expensive, beautiful city with many historical sights, many old buildings. The restaurants are expensive, like everywhere else in France... I would go there again, it's worth it!

3.0Carmen Germany

Lot more relaxed than Paris. Locals easy to get in touch with. Would recommend to attend to the BlaBla language exchange twice a week for practicing and meeting locals

5.0Ingolf Roth Norway

Very pleasant, nice, helpful townspeople, easy to communicate with. Beautiful, and quite clean city. The public transport is very well organised.

5.0Beata Austria

Bordeaux is a very beautiful and very lively city. It has a huge number of terraces to have a drink and the people are generally friendly.

3.0Francisco Javier Spain

Super city. Big but very manageable with cute boutiques and bakeries. Lots of greenery in the city and lots of cycling.

5.0Monica Switzerland

A pleasant surprise. Cultural and beautiful city. Several interesting towns nearby (up to 1h30).

The teachers are fantastic. They’re highly qualified, the classes are fun, and you really do learn a lot. The classrooms and library are also very well equipped. The range of activities and how they’re run are great, too. 100 points!

Q&A - Questions about French courses and schools in Bordeaux

What's the best way to get around Bordeaux?
You can get around very well by bike or tram.
Sabine Krafack, LanguageCourse.Net - Apr 18, 2024
Will you receive a recognised certificate at the end of the course?
At the end of the courses, you always receive a certificate of attendance. An official certificate sounds more like a DELF or DALF certificate, but you have to take an exam for that too and we recommend exam preparation for that. Is that what you are looking for? It depends entirely on what you need it for. If you need a DELF or DALF certificate (usually employers specify this themselves), let me know and I will look for you.

I am looking for a language course in Bordeaux for 14 year old students. Are there any options for starting the course from mid-August?
Newdeal's junior programmes for 12-15 year old students run from mid-July to early August. Exact course dates can be found on the website. Students aged 16 and over will be accepted for the group programmes from mid-August.

I would like to introduce you to a programme where teenagers are always welcome, because it's right at the teacher's home with private lessons! The Home Tuition French course is organised by the Influent programme. All you have to do is tell us the exact travel dates and we will look for a perfect family for your daughter.

The evaluations by students after they complete a course is excellent. The discount for using your website is also a great incentive. It also would be wonderful if the website would include more cities and a bigger selection of schools in each city.
Basil Havens verified client
The service of languagecourse.net is great, I booked already 3 schools and I can highly recommend it. In fact, I tell everybody I meet on my journey in South America about this website and how well everything is organized.
Gabriele Ragger verified client
I am very satisfied. I found more/relevant information on your webpage than on the school's website itself. It is the cheapest offer. I'm going to book my next course on your site soon.

Your service was excellent, really following up and holding my hand.! My older step-brother used your service a few years ago to study Spanish in Salamanca and Granada and we found LanguageCourse.Net so helpful then as well.

Just keep up the good work. The organization is excellent, so that even less experienced travellers would feel ok to come to China. I also felt really good in the host family, they were really great!
