What we like about the school
- Lessons and accommodation located in a beautiful villa with tree-lined garden.
- Located near Kurfuerstendamm, the most famous shopping street in the western city center.
- Received the Star School Germany award 5 times and has been declared a SUPER STAR.
- Excellent nationality mix. No student nationality makes up more than 10% of students.
What we dislike about the school
- Do not offer favorable cancellation terms in the case of a student getting a visa rejected.
Venue: GLS - Summer Centre Berlin Villa is located in Wilmersdorf, in the western centre of Berlin, near the famous Kurfuerstendamm shopping area, about half an hour away from the Brandenburg Gate by public transport. Once home to Bertolt Brecht and Marlene Dietrich, the neighborhood has a long history as a place for the artistically minded and is still home to the well respected Music Faculty of the Berlin University of the Arts.
Day-to-day: The centre occupies a 40-bed villa with a tree-lined garden in bustling Berlin. It offers students a chance to learn and share experiences in small, international groups. Students and staff live, eat and have classes at the centre. Rooms have 3-6 beds and full board is included.
Beyond German classes: In addition to the 20 weekly German lessons which take place in the morning, students at GLS - Summer Centre Berlin Villa participate in a full programme of activities, two per day. These include sightseeing within the city, social and team building events, sports outings such as swimming at the Badeschiff or playing minigolf near the Berlin Wall. Also, one day per week, the students will travel to locations outside of Berlin for a full-day excursion.

In July and August, courses on fringe levels (i.e. absolute beginners and very advanced) may be moved to the afternoon if necessary (15:00 - 18:30). The recreational program is planned so that participants will not miss any activities.
