Location: Colegio de Español La Janda is set in the heart of Vejer de la Frontera, one of Spain’s most beautiful whitewashed villages in the province of Cádiz. The school is just a short walk from the historic centre, surrounded by bars, restaurants, and local shops. Whether you want to experience flamenco in an authentic local bar, enjoy Andalusian tapas and regional wines, or simply settle into village life among friendly locals, everything you need is right on your doorstep.
The school itself has been recently renovated in a bright, comfortable style that preserves its Andalusian charm. It features five classrooms, a kitchen, a cosy multipurpose communal space, and free Wi-Fi throughout.
Course selection: The course selection of the school is extensive, with many programmes split between Spanish classes and local leisure activities such as Flamenco, Yoga, Golf, Surf, Horse Riding or Walking. General Spanish courses are available to students of all levels throughout the whole year, with special seasonal programmes available during Easter, the Feria de Abril and Christmas. Fully Immersive Junior Summer programmes are also available, full-board accommodation and activity plans included in the price.
Social and Cultural: Colegio de Español La Janda adheres to the benefit of taking Spanish immersion programmes, combining classes with authentic social and cultural activities. The school offers a wide range of activities via an expansive cultural programme, including Spanish cooking, exploring the natural surrounding by bicycle, bodega tours, live flamenco and more! Full day trips to Tarifa, Bolonia and Cadiz are favourites amongst students, where authentic tapas and beautiful beaches are never far away!

This course is for students who are following, or about to embark on, the International Baccalaureate. There will be plenty of opportunities to develop a greater understanding of CAS through taking part in voluntary social/environmental activities. Students improve their Spanish communication skills both in and outside the classroom. There is also an extensive activities programme carried out in Spanish. The CAS component will be supervised by a mentor recommended and supported by IBWise.

“We can easily organize Spanish + Yoga. The yoga sessions can take place either before or after the Spanish, depending on the type of yoga desired. The Spanish + Yoga course currently includes three yoga sessions per week. Usually, but not always, the sessions take place in another village or on the beach. Transportation is included in the price.”

“If there are only 2 students for an intensive group course, class time will be 75% of the total.
If you are alone in your level, class time will be 50% as you will have one-to-one lessons.”
