Location: Expanish 30+ Barcelona is located in the bustling and artistically vibrant Catalan city of Barcelona, Spain. The school is housed in the trendy Eixample area, a short distance from many eateries, shops, cinemas, bars, restaurants and several of the city's attractions. There are multiple links to public transport nearby, ensuring the city and its wonders are easily accessible to students. Attractions and sites of interest within walking distance of the school include Antoni Gaudi's La Sagrada Familia, La Pedrera and Casa Batlló, the commercial shopping of Passeig de Gracia, the Gracia neighbourhood, Plaza Catalunya and much more.
Getting around: The school is within walking distance of the city centre and has several modes and lines of transportation, ensuring the beaches, shops, and attractions of the city are all within easy reach. The school has many bus, metro and train routes close by, with attractions such as Las Ramblas and el Mercat de la Boqueria, Plaça de Catalunya, El Raval, El Borne, the Cathedral of Barcelona and the Picasso Museum Barcelona all within walking distance. Barceloneta Beach and the coastline are around a 25-minute journey from the school via the metro.
Social and Cultural: The school offers a weekly activities programme tailored to the 30+ age group, with two free activities arranged for students every week. Such activities can include wine tastings, architecture tours, Spanish history workshops and more. Barcelona is ripe with the culture and art of many disciplines. The school is happy to assist students in finding the activities best suited to their preferences.
School Chain: Expanish started supplying Spanish courses in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The school group has since expanded to add locations in Barcelona and Madrid. Expanish has given thousands of students valuable tuition and study abroad experiences and regularly gains recognition for this via such awards as the Study Travel Awards.
Course selection: Expanish 30+ provides Spanish language courses for students of all levels. In addition to General Spanish, which is available over several schedules and intensities, the school also provides Exam Preparation programmes (DELE, SIELE), combination courses of group and private lessons, and programmes of Private tuition.
