Milan ratings & reviews

What our students said about Milan

It is recommended for sightseeing, but there are many problems when it comes to living in the city. The post office and other offices involved in the application for a residence permit were quite difficult to deal with.

5.0Takako Japan

Especially outside of the center, pleasantly peaceful and "untouristic" (at least at the end of July 2021), relaxed atmosphere, but also the possibility of celebrating an aperitivo, etc.

5.0Bettina Germany

Anyone looking for a vibrant big city is in good hands here, beyond all the clichés about Italy. Great museums, very international, very beautiful surroundings with numerous lakes.

5.0Florian Germany

Certainly worth seeing, a mixture of the new and the ancient. Icecream shops too tempting though! Great for shopping if that's what one likes.

5.0Agnieszka Poland

A wonderful city with outstanding sights (e.g. cathedral, galleries, Sforzesco Castle, etc.) and a great atmosphere

5.0Ulrich Germany

Milan is a beautiful city with many activities to do, but the different neighborhoods are also fun to experience.

5.0Martin Netherlands

I liked the city very much. Unfortunately, there was not enough time to visit the surrounding area.

5.0Sabine Norway

Milan is a great city and well worth seeing. I really enjoyed the evening "aperitivo".

5.0Gabriele Germany

Stylish but not overpriced city with good activity choices to organise on your own.

4.0Takayo Germany

Was there for two weeks and never ran out of places to visit and things to see.

Milan is the place to be in Italy at the moment: the most active city, the most funny, the most open to different cultures. Milan is very well connected with all the cities in Italy and Europe. A very good place to be based.

Information about Milan

Why Milan? Milan is Italy's richest and second largest city. Since the 1970s, Milan has remained the capital of Italy's automobile industry and its financial markets, but the limelight is dominated by the fashion houses. As Europe´s creative capital, shopping here is almost a religion - the city remains the marketplace for Italian fashion.
What we like about Milan
  • Famous for its fashion.
  • Fantastic public transportation.
  • Electric nightlife.
  • Excellent mix of old and new.
What we dislike about Milan
  • Towards the north of the country so it does not have the typical Mediteranean climate.

Q&A - Questions about Italian courses and schools in Milan

I am looking for a school that can prepare me for university. I have some previous knowledge. Can you recommend a school for me?
The Centro Studi F.D. ELLCI is the school for you! There you will be prepared for university in 8 weeks and depending on your level, you will have 20 group lessons + 15 or 20 individual lessons per week. The course is offered under the title "Italian for University".
Lisa Schiwy, LanguageCourse.Net - Mar 27, 2023
I would like to take a course in Milan in the summer. In which month is it more advisable to go there?
July and August can be very hot in Milan. August is also when many shops close for the holidays, so I would recommend July if you want to experience a bit more of the city and its people.
Lisa Schiwy, LanguageCourse.Net - Mar 22, 2023
I am 21 years old and would like to do a course in Milan. Which school can you recommend for my age?
Academya Lingue offers special courses for 50+ students, so the average age in the standard course is automatically lower. I would, therefore, recommend this school.
Lisa Schiwy, LanguageCourse.Net - Mar 21, 2023

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions About Italian Courses in Milan

I would like to do a conversation course. Which is the best school to choose?
There are currently no schools offering a separate conversation course in Milan. However, they all have the option for a standard course. A standard course covers the different parts: reading, speaking, writing, grammar, etc. If you would like to focus extra on conversation, I recommend booking a standard course and adding some private lessons. During the private lessons, you can then specify exactly what your needs are.
Robin Rebecca Pietersma, Language Travel Consultant from LanguageCourse.Net - Jul 04, 2023
Do you offer internships?
Yes, the school Linguadue proposes a programme of Italian + Internship. You need to have a B1 level in Italian to be eligible. You will find more information on the school's profile.
