You will receive support during your home tuition experience from HLI’s Local Organisers working in Auckland, who will resolve even any small issues that might arise during your studies at your teacher’s home. You enjoy full board accommodation, private language lessons, and free time outside lessons and mealtimes to explore on your own or share the daily life of your host family. Auckland is New Zealand’s busiest and most modern city, and offers a blend of stunning beaches and urban living that many students love. The Intensive English course from EF Auckland represents their most time-demanding course, at 32 classes per week, but is also the school’s most popular course due to the undeniable results that they produce with their students. The methodology used in their classrooms is general in character and aims to develop all language skills, ranging from formal aspects such as grammar to more informal abilities such as correct use of phrasal verbs and the subtleties of correct pronunciation. The Intensive course is most commonly taken by those who are applying for academic or professional opportunities, but it can be taken by anybody who is determined to take their English to the next level. This option includes ten Special Interest Lessons, which are classes specifically tailored to any subject of your choosing. EF promises that with 6 weeks of dedicated and earnest study on this course, you will be able to go up by one-course level. Please note that course materials are not included in the price. Classes are likely to take place on some days in the morning and other days in the afternoon. Students will be given the exact timetable closer to the start date. These are sample course times and may change depending on availability and time of year. This course is recommended for students who need to learn a language as quickly as possible for academic or professional reasons. The highly structured curriculum will have you speaking and writing with confidence in the least amount of time. The general language lessons build your grammar and vocabulary, while the project sessions improve your research and communication skills through practical work tailored to your interests.
