Alicante ratings & reviews

What our students said about Alicante

Although it is touristy, it is very safe. In August, the temperatures were between 28° and 35° during the day. The beach is ok, but more beautiful is San Juan beach, which can be reached in 15 min by tram. Alicante has many good restaurants and places to go out. Recommended for a language course, as there are not too many Germans there and you can really immerse yourself in the language.

5.0Sophie Germany

Nice for two weeks, then a bit boring. The harbour is nice, the beach section rather small. Between the beach/promenade and the sea is a main road. I found that annoying. Generally a lot of car traffic in the city. There are not so many sights to see. A few museums were still quite good.

4.0Norbert Spain

Based around tourism and so there are many nationalities. Still clinging on to its Spanish identity. Lovely beaches and great castle. Very lively at night. Good transport links. Overall a great place to visit for a few weeks

4.0Priscilla England UK

Alicante is a great super friendly place. Always meet great people. Beach is okay, a bit crowded but very nice sand. I was super close to center which made it dangerous for my wallet, as i like to shop.

5.0Sarah Thien Huong Italy

Beautiful city, fantastic beach with beautiful Castillo Santa Barbara! The people are super nice everywhere! Alicante is a great starting point for countless trips to nearby towns!!

3.0Regina Switzerland

What a fantastic city! There are lots of parks and squares all over town. The public transportation is excellent. The people are friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is pleasant.

5.0Ineke Netherlands

Cozy old center with many nice eateries, coffee bars, nightlife nice people, lovely beach and some nice sights such as an arena, a castle, a museum and a Cathedral and Basilica.

4.0Corinne Netherlands

I did not participate in the evaluation. Except for the tourist hotspots, Alicante is very littered in the normal residential areas. There is also dog poo everywhere.

4.0Michaela Germany

It's a beautiful city, but I didn't go there to visit, I went there to study Spanish. The weather was not good to visit the city, it rained a lot.

5.0Pierre-André Switzerland

Not very clean (but I think many southern European cities have that in common, especially the ones that are much visited), apart from that nice.

5.0Viktor Germany

Estudio Sampere

The teachers were all very friendly, and the classes were great. We talked a lot and didn't just learn grammar rules. I felt very comfortable there.

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions about Spanish courses in Alicante

I am a returning student, are there any reductions / discounts?
For any study journey after the first with us, you are entitled to an extra EUR 10 discount on the next booking. Furthermore, if you are going to return to the same school and less than 12 months have passed from the first enrollment, you won't have to pay again the enrollment fee, if applicable.

I feel like I'm somewhere between levels A1 and A2. Can you tell me the difference between A1 and A2?
By the end of A1, you should be able to understand and use simple everyday expressions and phrases. You should be able to introduce yourself and others and ask and answer basic personal information. You should be able to interact in a simple way if the other person speaks slowly and clearly and is willing to cooperate. By the end of the A2 level, you should be able to understand and communicate in simple sentences about everyday topics like personal and family information, shopping, local geography, and employment.

Are Spanish lessons taught by a teacher who is proficient in the Dutch language?
Spanish lessons are always taught directly in Spanish, even for absolute beginners. Sometimes English may be used very briefly to clarify things, but that is not the focus.
Robin Rebecca Pietersma, Language Travel Consultant from LanguageCourse.Net - May 29, 2024
How do I know if a school has an accredited Spanish course?
In the overview of schools and on the profile of the schools themselves, you can find the heading 'Accreditations'. There you can see all the accreditations a school has. In Spain, for example, an accreditation from the Instituto Cervantes is very important (red symbol).
Robin Rebecca Pietersma, Language Travel Consultant from LanguageCourse.Net - Mar 27, 2024
Can I take a weeks break during my studies?
Normally, that is not a problem. Just let us know and we will check with the school for your specific case.
Louise Granath, Language Travel Consultant from LanguageCourse.Net - Dec 01, 2023
Do you offer courses for students aged 70 and over?
Yes, we do offer senior immersion programmes at a teacher's home. This is a great option if you want to experience language immersion with a teacher. This is one of the best options for making rapid progress in a short period of time. You will be staying with the teacher and his family, which will allow you to practice the language all day, even around the table as all meals are included. You choose the number of lessons per week and the teacher gives you private lessons. This allows you to focus on your areas of interest and weaknesses.
Madly Simba, Language Travel Consultant from LanguageCourse.Net - Mar 23, 2023
Do the prices of the courses include or exclude accommodation?
The prices for the courses are normally excluding accommodation. You can add your preferred accommodation option separately (see the calculator on the right). In some cases the course price is including accommodation, for example with some senior and junior courses. If accommodation is included this will be noted in the remark section of the course block (below the prices).

The evaluations by students after they complete a course is excellent. The discount for using your website is also a great incentive. It also would be wonderful if the website would include more cities and a bigger selection of schools in each city.

The service of languagecourse.net is great, I booked already 3 schools and I can highly recommend it. In fact, I tell everybody I meet on my journey in South America about this website and how well everything is organized.
Gabriele Ragger verified client
I am very satisfied. I found more/relevant information on your webpage than on the school's website itself. It is the cheapest offer. I'm going to book my next course on your site soon.

Just keep up the good work. The organization is excellent, so that even less experienced travellers would feel ok to come to China. I also felt really good in the host family, they were really great!
