Chongqing Shi is a central region within China, slightly to the West. The Yangtze River runs through the spine of the province. The largest city in the region is Chongqing, which is to the South of the province, on the River Yangtze. The Chongqing Hongyadong (Northwest Gate), the Three Gorges Museum and the buzzing Jiefangbei CBD core of the city are what bring visitors to this vast city. The ancient town of Ciqikou, on the edge of Chongqing, is another popular attraction in the area. The Dazu Rock Carvings in the South West of the region are a glimpse into the ancient sculptures of Chongqing. Fengdu Ghost City, the Three Natural Bridges and the highest mountain peak in Chongqing, Jinfo Shan, are displays of the beautiful landscape in the South East of the region.
