The Junior Summer Vacation Study Programme enables international students ages 14 to 18 to improve their ability to speak English while experiencing the diversity of American culture first-hand. Students are responsible for keeping their own space clean and tidy, whilst the communal facilities, including the bathroom, are cleaned daily. This course includes 20 lessons (16 hours) of English lessons, on campus accommodation, a full programme of activities and one excursion per week. With the CISL English summer program in Washington DC, students attend classes at Georgetown University for 2, 3, or 4 weeks. All classes implement CISL’s stimulating curriculum, which focuses on fluency activities designed to improve each student’s confidence while speaking English. CISL’s ESL camp in Washington D.C. additionally offers workshops in the afternoon to provide teens an in-depth understanding of American culture.
