What our students said about Lucca
We felt very comfortable. The old town is beautiful, with lots of great restaurants, bars and cafes. However, one should never forget to have insect repellent with you. In and around Lucca there is a lot of water and unfortunately a lot of mosquitos.
Lucca is a very beautiful medieval city, surrounded by a city wall, and from one "cast". There are many beautiful squares and alleys and something new to discover everywhere. A very pleasant city where I would have liked to stay longer.
It's a beautiful town, if you are looking for night clubs you're in the wrong place but there are numerous bars cafes and restaurants to enjoy. Lucca though was a great place to go learn Italian
Lucca is a lovely small town, with easy access to the school. No trains or buses needed, that is one reason I chose Lucca Koine again. Regarding safety, too many cars and bikes on narrow streets!
It is a small city that has everything, good public transport to travel to nearby cities and very quiet and safe. I am in love with its old town inside the walls. I have not felt like a tourist.
I liked it, it doesn't have many attractions, but it is a medieval city, with walls and towers, well located, clean, and with good shops, bars and restaurants.
Lucca is a nice city with many churches and museums and an interesting history. Cozy alleys, many shops and restaurants, prices are well average.
Nice little town, but because of the old preserved city centre with many tourists you do not find every day life in an Italian city here
Wonderful little old town, ideal location - as a starting point for sightseeing (Pisa, Firenze, ...), hiking (Alpi Apuane), sea ...
Lucca is charming and near enough to Florence and Pisa if you want to go there on weekends or even afternoons/evenings.

The teacher Lorenzo was very good at getting everyone to talk. He was also funny, so we laughed a lot during the lessons. For me, it was important to develop my everyday language, and in this respect the school's methods are good. Angela at the reception is very helpful.
I would recommend the school to someone who already knows a bit and wants to practice speaking.
