What our students said about Budapest
I really like the city; the architecture is spectacular. I also went to Balaton and two other inland cities (Tapolca and Keszthely), and I have family ties in Hungary. I will definitely visit again. I've been there twice already. I didn't go out at night, because of work and because studying the language is already exhausting. Maybe next trip.
I would have expected shopping and eating out to be cheaper; Buda very nice, Pest reminded me of Brussels (great buildings but could be in better shape); overall great city, safe, and fun to walk through.
Interesting city with light and shadow - modern and well-maintained buildings in the centre keep alternating with poorly maintained buildings. It is obvious that money is often lacking.
