Home Language International: HLI places students in Budapest in the homes of qualified teachers, where they live, learn, socialise and interact. Each programme is fully immersive, giving students valuable one-to-one tuition and "real life" interactions and exchanges in Hungarian. HLI has many hundreds of teachers around the world, ensuring students receive tutors best suited to their individual needs and development. Hungarian lessons are generally on a one-to-one basis from within the teacher's home. Activities, excursions and social events, such as mealtimes with the host family, are all part of the fully immersive learning experience that HLI offers.
Course selection: HLI (Home Language International) Hungary provides fully immersive language courses suitable to students of all levels, necessities and ages. Programmes include a set amount of Hungarian lessons per week, course material specific to a student's level and needs, full-board accommodation within the teacher's home and activities and excursions, according to the course type selected. Programmes are suitable and available to children, teenagers, adults and professionals. Available course types may vary depending on the location, but generally include Hungarian for Business, sports orientated study holidays, Exam Preparation, Specific Learning programmes tailor-made to a student's needs, Teacher Refresher courses, Senior programmes and much more. Accommodation, activities and lessons are also all available individually.
Methodology: HLI programmes allow students to immerse themselves entirely in Hungarian for the whole duration of their learning programme. Students' practise their Hungarian during their lessons, free time, daily routines, and social activities such as mealtimes in the teacher's home. This one to one attention allows students the best opportunity to learn Hungarian at the pace best suited to their needs and goals.
Tutors: All teachers are highly qualified and experienced. Students are matched with tutors according to their needs, course type, expectations and requested location.
Facilities: All host families (teachers) provide students with full-board accommodation with a private bedroom, study area and free WIFI.
Accreditations: HLI (Home Language International) is accredited by the Accreditation Service for International Schools, Colleges and Universities (ASIC).

Standard arrival and departure on SUNDAYS.
Two students with the same language level, sharing the lessons and generally also a room: up to 20% discount, depending on the type of course and the duration of the stay.
If you do not arrive at the airport indicated on your family profile or if you arrive/leave the host family before 8:00 or after 20:00 charges will be increased. A supplement may be charged for late arrival and UM services (unaccompanied minors) if there is a lot of waiting time.
SUPPLEMENTS:
• Any booking which includes Dec 24th, 25th or 26th (Christmas) or Dec 31st or Jan 1st (New Year): EUR 200. If the stay includes both Christmas and New Year, the supplement is charged twice. This supplement does not include activities.
• Close supervision (the teacher or an adult member of the family is at home at all times when the student is there): EUR 165 per week. Compulsory for students aged 13 or under, optional for students under 18.
• VIP programme (especially designed for people who would like a superior standard of meals and accommodation and a private bathroom): EUR 400 per week.
• The organisation welcomes students with physical disabilities (such as vision or hearing impairments), emotional or behavioural disorders (such as ADHD) or learning difficulties (such as dyslexia), provided the organiser is notified of these in advance. A supplement of EUR 170 per week may be applied.
Students must insure themselves against illness and accidents to themselves and third parties.
Students aged 15 and under must book 2-way airport transfers unless they are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

“Yes, you can come with someone. You can come with a friend that has the same level and wants to take the course with you. You will then benefit from a 20% reduction each. If the accompanying person does not want to take the course, they will need pay for their stay. Students aged 4 or over get a 20% reduction off the price of the programme. Children under 4 years old get a 75% reduction.”

“You have already organised your own accommodation and would like to receive lessons only. You must stay in a large town offered by us and choose a minimum of 10 hours of language lessons per week. A supplement for the teacher’s transport may be charged. Deduct GBP 150, EUR 200 or USD 200 from the price of the Classic Programme.”

“We welcome students who have special dietary needs provided we are notified in detail of these in advance. If these diets involve the host family making extra arrangements (such as a gluten-free diet) a supplement will be charged. Supplement of GBP 99, EUR 150 or USD 150 per week.”

Is the airport transfer included in the price?
“A transfer is not included in the course price. We can arrange transfers from the nearest airport, station or seaport to your host family. Transfers are taken care of by the host family, the local organiser or a private driver (usually by car, occasionally by public transport).Transfers are usually individual but can in rare cases be shared with other students. A mobile phone number is required for all students who book transfers.
