In 2026 many schools were fully booked during the holidays and the situation is unlikely to be different for 2027 due to a current shortage of teachers, which affects most schools.

- Generally course material is distributed free to students and will stay in student property.
- Comments about courses
Our programme focuses on using English through real experiences, not only in the classroom. The 15 classroom hours are an important part of the programme, but learning also continues throughout the day.
Each topic studied in class is linked to an activity or a series of activities during the course. During these activities, students take part in real situations where they use English to communicate. This includes talking with British people and with other students. Through this, students practise English naturally and build confidence.
To develop this learning further, students then use their experiences in our School Magazine project. This takes place in one extra hour per day in the classroom, adding five more hours per week and bringing the total to 20 hours.
For students at lower English levels, this may be a simple task such as “A Day at NSX”, where they write and draw about what they did and what they enjoyed. For higher levels, students may write an opinion article using ideas from people they spoke to on excursions, or a sports report that includes interviews with other students.
At the end of the course, every student takes a copy of the School Magazine home. It is a reminder of what they achieved, the English they used, and the new friends they made.- Days without class
