This course focuses on building medical vocabulary and developing speaking, writing, and presentation skills in Spanish within the context of healthcare and medicine. This includes role-play scenarios, research, vocabulary acquisition and when possible, guest speakers and visits to local clinics or hospitals. Throughout your language training, the teacher will continuously assess your ability in the four language skills – Speaking, Listening, Reading, and Writing; and the four language systems – Grammar, Vocabulary, Phonology, and Function. Spanish for Special Purposes (SSP) includes courses in Medical Spanish and Spanish for Business. SSP teachers are some of the most experienced instructors and they have additional experience in Business and Healthcare.
