Q&A - Questions about German courses and schools in Germany
I am looking for suitable German courses for my daughter (17 years old) for admission to Studienkolleg. The level of knowledge of German is closer to B1.
“There are several schools in Germany, which offer Studienkolleg preparation courses. Usually this course has specific start dates and a duration of four weeks. Please note that this course requires a language level of at least B2. Since your daughter's level is slightly below B1, she will need to complete a general German course to improve her level. Each level requires a minimum of 160 hours (approximately eight weeks of a language course with 20 classes per week). It is advisable to book at least 10-16 weeks of the Standard course (20 lessons per week), and then join the Studienkolleg preparation course when your daughter has a firm level B2.”
