What our students said about Montreal

I'm definitely in love with this city. However, having travelled along the Saint Lawrence two years ago, I found the people more friendly. But after all, Montreal is a capital, so maybe the people aren't as friendly... like in Paris ;) Otherwise, I also noticed that the boulevard Saint Laurent was to be avoided, if you didn't want to run into people ‘hanging around’ in the streets... Climate-wise, it was so hot and heavy this summer! Despite these points, Montreal is still my favourite city at the moment!

5.0Soline France

A well-organized and safe city, good parks and bike paths, friendly and helpful residents, efficient and comfortable public transportation despite strikes—overall, a great city to visit and live in.

5.0Vinicius Brazil

The tax in this province is crazily high. But there're lots of good shops and restaurants.

3.0Han Jou Canada

It’s a vibrant incredibly beautiful city

I really enjoyed meeting people, both students and teachers. The fact that French and English were given priority in certain areas really made it possible to meet some great people. Thank you so much! I enjoyed my 3 week course at BLI :)

Information about Montreal

Why Montreal? Montreal, Canada's second largest city, is geographically as close to the European coast as to Vancouver, and in look and feel it combines some of the finest aspects of the two continents. Its North American skyline of glass and concrete rises above churches and monuments in a medley of European styles, a medley as complex as Montreal´s social mix.

  • Two official languages in one city.
  • Cheaper than other larger Canadian cities.
  • Dynamic art scene.
  • Cultural hub.

I have a son who is 8 years old and would like to join a French course.
If you are looking for a junior French course in Quebec, I can recommend you the Bouchereau Lingua International school. The course is all inclusive (course+activities+accommodation).

My 5-year-old granddaughter lives in Montreal and needs to learn French.
In Montreal we work with several French schools for children and teenagers, but none of them accept such young students.
Rubén De Haro, LanguageCourse.Net - Mar 16, 2023
Is there an age limit for French courses at Montreal schools?
The schools accept students of all ages from 16-18 years old. There is no age limit. Groups are organized according to level, not age.
Rubén De Haro, LanguageCourse.Net - Dec 14, 2022
Why do I only see the French courses, do they offer any English courses?
You can see from the section above the courses "School also offers to learn", you can see other language courses that the school offers.

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions about French courses in Montreal

Do you have any courses to offer to learn Italian?
At the moment, we do not have any partner schools in Montreal offering this language. However, if you are interested in a language stay abroad, Italy would be the best option. Our best destinations are Rome, Florence, Milan, Bologna, Naples.
Madly Simba, Language Travel Consultant from LanguageCourse.Net - Mar 17, 2023
What's the procedure to apply for a visa to enter Canada?
Depending on how long you want to stay in Canada, you will have to apply for a Visitor Visa (up to 6 months) or a Study Permit (over 6 months). We do not assist with this but we recommend you to get in touch with the Canadian embassy to have more information.

The evaluations by students after they complete a course is excellent. The discount for using your website is also a great incentive. It also would be wonderful if the website would include more cities and a bigger selection of schools in each city.
Basil Havens verified client
The service of languagecourse.net is great, I booked already 3 schools and I can highly recommend it. In fact, I tell everybody I meet on my journey in South America about this website and how well everything is organized.
Gabriele Ragger verified client
I am very satisfied. I found more/relevant information on your webpage than on the school's website itself. It is the cheapest offer. I'm going to book my next course on your site soon.
Attila Vertesi verified client
You're just great, doing a fantastic job. I'll be back in a couple of weeks and be booking my next stay abroad with you again (as always).

Just keep up the good work. The organization is excellent, so that even less experienced travellers would feel ok to come to China. I also felt really good in the host family, they were really great!
