Location: Alpadia Engelberg is a junior summer centre located in the beautiful mountain resort town of Engelberg, Switzerland. The school is housed in a traditional and renovated 12th-century monastery, surrounded by mountains, open spaces and many amenities, in the town centre. Several gondola lifts up the mountains are also within walking distance. The school is around a 75-minute car journey from Zurich airport.
Course selection: These courses are available to students aged 10-17 years, during the summer months. All courses are inclusive of tuition, accommodation, meals, activities and excursions. Courses are available for learning English or German.
Language packages of 20, or 25 lessons per week are available with Alpadia Engelberg
Social and cultural: At an altitude of 1000m, the town of Engelberg and its surrounding areas are ripe with opportunities for sports and recreational activities. Activities included in these summer programmes can include trips to a rope park, a cheese-making factory, mountain biking, a bobsled run, hiking trails and much more.
PREMIUM+ activity programmes are available for this school. Such programmes include Adrenalin, Creative Arts and Tennis. Additional costs apply.
Accommodation: Accommodation is full-board in residence. Room type is in single or twin rooms with shared bathrooms, subject to availability. 24-hour supervision is given to students throughout the course and accommodation.
