Location: Almeria School of Spanish is located in the centre of the Andalusian city of Almeria, in a traditional Andalusian style building with spacious classrooms and a welcoming atmosphere. The city is bursting with life, history, beaches and sunshine. The school is close to some of the city's main attractions with the Catedral de Almería, the Alcazaba Castle, the Port and the Parque Nicolás Salmerón, all within walking distance from the school's front doors, meaning you are in a great place to enjoy the city and its fantastic tapas to it's fullest!
Course selection: The school offers students many types of courses, with something available for all levels and ages. Almeria Spanish School has General Spanish courses scheduled throughout the whole day, including solely afternoon and evening options, as well as some fantastic programmes for students interested in taking Cooking, Guitar or Flamenco lessons in conjunction with their Spanish lessons! Almeria Spanish School also provides DELE Exam preparation courses for students that would like to receive official certification of their Spanish level.
School facilities: The school has great facilities with many sunny classrooms, an in-house library, a computer lab, free Wi-Fi and a student support desk. All classrooms also have air conditioning, making sure students are comfortable the whole year-round. Further information on local activities such as diving, cultural excursions, wine tasting, photography and much more, is readily available at the student support desk.

“Highly competent and flexible teachers, grammar is explained well (in Spanish and in very confident English), social, political, and cultural topics are also taught in clear Spanish that is not too fast. If necessary, lessons also take place in nearby museums or other cultural institutions in the city of Almeria. Patrizia provides regular updates on current events in the region.”

“The Spanish teacher, Antonio, went to great lengths to fulfil his task despite the disastrous composition of the class and the school's requirements (excursion). Thank you for that.”
“The pairing of the 3 participants was very unfortunate. A French woman, she already spoke very good Spanish, no English. An Englishman, WITHOUT previous knowledge. Me, little previous knowledge, only knowledge of colloquial English. English was spoken predominantly, no doubt in consideration of the Englishman. Or, for me, Spanish at too high a level to do justice to the French woman. This course was not helpful for me. I have had other, very good experiences at the language school in Nerja. I now very much regret having chosen this school just because of the distance.
Another criticism is that the excursion on the 2nd day during lesson time was completely inappropriate. Unfortunately, the teacher's tour, either in English or Spanish, was of no use to ME. A lost day for me. For the Englishman too, he cancelled the excursion due to his physical condition. Only the French girl certainly benefited. This excursion should have been offered outside the lessons. I used my mobile phone to find out about the castle. I wouldn't have had to pay for a school day for that. So, all in all, I regret not having travelled further to Nerja to learn Spanish effectively.”
