Location: ICE Irish College of English Junior Centre takes place in Glenstal Abbey. The Abbey is a boarding school in Murroe, about 30 minutes east by car from Limerick. It is in a small village with a smattering of eateries. The Abbey itself is sat in a rural area a safe distance for students to enjoy the Irish countryside.
Syllabus: This package includes 15 hours of English lessons per week. Classes have a maximum of 15 students, which gives the teacher a chance to interact with each individual. There are progress reports, and a certificate of attendance once this is completed.
Intercultural teenage programme: The course has a unique element with an intercultural programme. This includes local students joining in for an exercise with students from the ICE Irish College of English Junior Summer Centre who get a chance to not only practise their English but also interact with peers their own age.
Accommodation: Students will stay on the campus of Glenstal Abbey with full board food options. Rooms are shared from two to eight, with showers and bathroom facilities adjacent to the bedrooms. Laundry is washed once a week.
Activities: During the weekdays students spend the afternoon and evening in a full schedule activity programme. Twice or three times a week, students are taken off campus for a tour and trip. On weekends, there is one full day trip.
