Location: The school is situated conveniently between Oxford City Centre and Summertown, a local shopping area. It is in the North of the city, close to the Port Meadow grounds. The main highstreet in the area has shops and restaurants, whilst the area as a whole is more designated to the University Campus.
Getting around: The centre of Oxford is 30 minutes by foot from the school. There are regular buses running throughout the city, and these are located near the school premises. For weekend breaks to nearby cities or the larger ones such as London, the central train station is half an hour from the school for those who want to walk. For those who prefer to take public transport, you can arrive at the train station in 15 minutes by bus.
Local attractions: Oxford is known for its University, which is spread out throughout the city. To learn more about the city’s history, there are a number of museums that clearly explain the city's past. These are all located in the centre of the city. Also found in the heart of Oxford is the Radcliffe Camera, an impressive domed library.
Course structure: Students can choose from a general English course, exam preparation lessons for the IELTS exam, English language lessons for a semester or year programme or a business class.
School building: The school is in an Edwardian structure, with bright classrooms all with electronic whiteboards. There is a cafe, computer lab, student lounge, study centre, table tennis and BBQ area in the school’s garden.
Weekend excursions: Kaplan International Languages in Oxford organises weekend trips to European cities including Paris and Amsterdam.
