  • Excellent rating of homestay accommodation
    5
What we dislike about the school
  • Older students should consider that the average age of students at the school is significantly younger than at most other schools.

The school promotes that staff members of OISC are sympathetic, clear communicators with a thorough knowledge of their courses and procedures. They also state that staff are sensitive to the culture and customs of any student's home country.

Location: Oxford International Study Centre is located in the unique, student-friendly city of Oxford, in central southern England. Housed in the city centre, the school is well-placed and within a moment's walk of such sites as the Oxford Botanic Garden, the Ashmolean Museum, Christ Church Meadow, Radcliffe Camera, the Bodleian Library, the Covered Market, and numerous parks and green spaces.

Social and Cultural: The school provides a regular activities programme for students to enjoy. Activities and excursions organised by the school can include punting on the river, trips to London, including boat rides on the Thames, and days out to Stratford and Warwick Castle.

Getting around: Oxford is a fantastic city to walk or take a bike around. The school is within a 500m walk of bike rental services, ensuring students can easily find a bike should they wish. For arrivals and departures, OISC is within a 15-minute walk of the train station and a 20-minute taxi ride from Oxford International Airport.

Course selection: The school offers a wide range of courses suitable for students of all levels and various necessities. Teacher Training programmes are also available throughout the year.

“The different classes with different teachers and the fact that the placement test put you in the right class (group).”
“In week 3, some of the teaching materials were repetitive. I also think it would have been better if the cups in the common room had been reusable.”
