What our students said about Bournemouth

A fantastic, really long beach with a promenade and lots of colourful beach huts... these are tiny little houses, some with a small kitchen and all kinds of beach stuff inside, and a small terrace... some of them in the form of a wooden pallet that folds up at the front, whatever you can imagine. Unfortunately, the public toilets are a bit far apart, but they are clean and free of charge. There are beautiful parks, many bus connections (I had three from my accommodation to the centre and some suburbs), many small restaurants with good food at reasonable prices, very nice people (unsolicited help – for example, when stopping the bus + tips for getting on, daily small talk... everyone talks to you... small talk... good for practising speaking.

5.0Bianca Germany

Bournemouth is a town that probably reached its peak a few decades ago. Today, it looks outdated in some places - with lots of second-hand stores, sweet stores and barbershops. Nevertheless, the town has its own charm. The well-kept gardens and green spaces are particularly beautiful and invite you to stroll and linger. I was also deeply impressed by the friendliness and helpfulness of the people there. This hospitality makes Bournemouth a place where you feel comfortable and welcome despite everything.

4.0Bernardica Germany

Amazing beaches on the ocean. Not very historical but has many good places for the night and it is well connected thanks to the efficient public transport. I liked the museum and the tomb of Mary Shelley. I didn't feel so safe alone at night.

4.0Letizia Italy

The autumn is just perfect for studying in a calm and relaxed atmosphere with few tourists. It is a good environment to study English seriously. The students who arrive at this time of the year are all very serious and calm.

5.0ICHIRO Japan

It was a compact place to enjoy nature and city life. During high season, I am more concerned about trash on the streets and on the beaches.

5.0Fuka Japan

It was fun to explore a historical British town by the sea. Even in a typical British spring, it has a nice atmosphere.

5.0Alexander Germany

I liked the proximity to the sea, the green spaces, the cleanliness (no garbage on the streets).

4.0Fotini Germany

Partly a bit run down, nice beach that I would have liked to use much more often

4.0Mieke Lina Germany

A wonderful city, suitable for teenagers who come to learn the language.

5.0Anastasia Russia

Great and all services are available: studying, entertainment, shopping

Great for students who want a more affordable option that living in London or Oxford, but still want easy access to other UK cities and major airports. Bournemouth is surrounded by stunning coastline, national parks, and countryside, making it ideal for those who enjoy spending time in the great outdoors or taking part in a range of outdoor activities such as walking, cycling, horse riding, and surfing.

Most recent student reviews of language schools in Bournemouth

Europa School of English

A great strength of the school was the high quality of teaching and the dedicated teachers who were genuinely interested in the progress of the students. During my stay, I had three different teachers, each of whom had their own strengths and were able to respond very well to the students' needs. Through the playful lessons, for example with Kahoot, we not only learned a lot about grammar, but also about the country. I found it particularly interesting that the teachers also drew our attention to the lesser-known side of Bournemouth - issues such as poverty and homelessness - which gave me personally a lot to think about.

I was pampered like a baby at BEET and felt very welcome by my warm-hearted host, Tiziano, and his daughter. BEET took care of me every day, making sure I didn't miss out on any activities, lunches, hands-on opportunities, etc. John even came to class on the first day to remind me personally about the bus tour (and I had actually forgotten about it... we were engrossed in conversation in our group of three learners + Harry). My learning goals were fully addressed in the larger learning group in the morning, as well as in the smaller learning group and in individual lessons in the afternoon. I was able to get the most out of it for myself and am grateful to Janet for the morning lessons (especially for the many games: I learned so much grammar and vocabulary... and I don't even like games... I never stop learning... a new learning system for me) and Harry for the afternoon lessons (thank you for listening, for constantly improving my grammar and my sometimes ‘outdated choice of words’... I have taken your tips to heart) I am very grateful❤️ Really ALL the staff (even in the canteen!) were super attentive, spread a good atmosphere, always had an open ear for each of us, delicious food in the canteen, always a smile and even short conversations there.

I felt very welcomed here. The teachers were very friendly and warm and patient with my questions. The lessons were challenging even though I am already of a pretty high level.
I will definitely come back. I would like to stay longer next time.

Q&A - Questions about English courses and schools in Bournemouth

Is it possible to book only social activities without classes?
The language courses are the main focus for our partner schools, so it is not possible to book social activities only. However, many of our schools offer social activities that students can join in addition to their language courses.

The evaluations by students after they complete a course is excellent. The discount for using your website is also a great incentive. It also would be wonderful if the website would include more cities and a bigger selection of schools in each city.
Basil Havens verified client
The service of languagecourse.net is great, I booked already 3 schools and I can highly recommend it. In fact, I tell everybody I meet on my journey in South America about this website and how well everything is organized.
Gabriele Ragger verified client
I am very satisfied. I found more/relevant information on your webpage than on the school's website itself. It is the cheapest offer. I'm going to book my next course on your site soon.

Just keep up the good work. The organization is excellent, so that even less experienced travellers would feel ok to come to China. I also felt really good in the host family, they were really great!
